Yesterday I purchased some Prisma Colored pencils. I love them because of the boldness of their color and the ease of blending with your fingers. I just love the colors! I created this little Egyptian Princess/Queen with the pencils. I used water soluble oil pastels to create the background. I used gold leaf to create her jewels. Instead of my normal water color paper, I purchased some Strathmore Bristol Smooth which is supposed to be good for pencil, pen and ink. I liked the smoothness of the paper. It made it easier on my pencils. However, if you like the textured look, the watercolor paper does help that.

the water soluble pastels can be messy but they are smooth as butter and the colors are so bold...just the way I like them. The messy part? That is the fun part! Hugs
