The Secret

A friend of mine recommended this book and I am so glad she did. I am only half way through and I am totally moved and inspired by the ideas. The secret is nothing new....no new idea really. It is all about how powerful the mind is and how we create our own reality by our thoughts. The Secret is based on biblical principles but I would not say it is a heavily religious book. The author refers to the 'Law of Attraction' a lot in the book. I highly recommend this book! It is awsome.

I have started my apron too as Renea discusses at Pocket Full of Prettys. I can't wait to see Reneas apron because I know it is going to be cute. We just wanted to wear something that would add to the element of fun to this workshop I am doing next weekend. By the way, I believe at least 10 women will attend. I have prayed specifically for at least 10 people and I believe that they will be there. I learned this in the book. You have to 1) ask the universe (for me it is God) the thing you desire 2) Believe you will receive it 3) Receive it-act as if you have already received it. Visualize receiving it.

On another note, I just want to say that I love my blog friends. I am grateful for all of your comments and I love to read your blogs and see your creations from your hearts. I love to read about your lives and your passions. I receive so much inspiration from all of you. Happy Weekend!!!

Lesley,

I've already posted a comment on this post, but you might check out a few more inspirational (ok...self-help LOL) books! The Beautiful Ache, Get Out of That Pit by Beth Moore, and Creating a Charmed Life by Victoria Moore are all excellent books. I've thoroughly read Get Out of That Pit and it was wonderful. I'm currently in the midst of
reading The Beautiful Ache and Creating a Charmed Life. They are
awesome as well. I, too, own just about every self-help book out
there and am always looking for a new inspiring read!

Take care!

Paper Flowers and Fabric Flowers

Well, I'm kind of in a creative funk again. I hate it when this happens! I'm so glad that next weekend I am going to Fredricksberg, TX again to the trade days. I know it will inspire me in all kinds of directions. Meanwhile, while I am trying to get my groove back........I have been making a lot of little short term projects in the paper department. I made this little posey pin from faux vintage post/letters etc papers from the scrapbooking department. I actually wore it yesterday on my jacket. Then I spotted this book on Fabric Flowers by Elizabeth Helene Searle at the fabric store and I had to get it. I used her instructions to make this first fabric flower. I want to try several of her other flowers instructions. Now, what will I do with them? Who knows? Does it really matter if I am enjoying myself? Probably everyone will get fabric or paper flowers for Christmas! Heehee Have a great day.

Etsy Treasury

I got an ETSY Treasury today! Look what I made! Go and check out the real thing here, it took me an hour to figure out how to just get a snapshot for the above photo. Rediculous. YOu should be able to just have some html and share the dang thing! Anyway, here it is, I would appreciate any views and/or comments. Hugs

Some Work Humor

Cows...A Poem by Richard Armous Cows Do nothing but browse And drowse And now and then moo. That's all they do. Yet even while grazing They aren't lazing. Even while snacking They aren't slacking. If not illustrious Thay are inner industrious, Making milk with all their might. With every bite. Cream too, With every chew. I'd like it fine Could I combine In such measure Business with pleasure .
